Asante Kotoko head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has expressed his satisfaction with the quality of the playing surface at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, where the Porcupine Warriors will temporarily host their home matches due to the closure of Baba Yara Stadium following a CAF ban.
Kotoko is set to take on Ghana Premier League newcomers, Young Apostles, in a Matchday 3 fixture on Sunday, September 22.
Speaking ahead of the game, Coach Ogum commended the condition of the pitch at Len Clay Stadium, which is known for its smooth surface. “The Obuasi Len Clay Stadium is known for its high-quality pitch,” he said. “All you need is a good game plan and some luck on matchday. We’re prepared for the game against Young Apostles on Sunday.”
Asante Kotoko will be looking to build on their strong start to the 2024/25 season, having secured a 1-0 victory over Karela United in the opening round. The match kicks off at 15:00 GMT on Sunday.
