Asante Kotoko forward Kwame Opoku has vowed to deliver even more for the Porcupine Warriors as the Ghana Premier League enters its second round.
The prolific striker, who rejoined Kotoko on a two-and-a-half-year deal after spells in Algeria and Morocco, has been in fine form since his return. Opoku has already netted five goals in just four appearances during the latter stages of the first round of the ongoing 2024/25 season.
In an interview with Asempa FM, the former Nkoranza Warriors striker assured fans that his best is yet to come, emphasizing that he is still working on his fitness.
“There’s more to come from me—it’s just the beginning,” Opoku said. “I’ve scored five goals in four games so far, and as the season progresses, my fitness level will improve, allowing me to contribute even more.”
Asante Kotoko concluded the first round of the season in third place with 31 points, just two points behind league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars.
The Porcupine Warriors will aim to maintain their strong form when they host relegation-threatened Karela United in their Matchday 18 clash at the Baba Yara Stadium.
