Asante Kotoko defender Joseph Ablorh has confidently declared that Hearts of Oak poses no attacking threat ahead of the much-anticipated Super Clash on Sunday.
The 26-year-old is optimistic that the Porcupine Warriors will secure a decisive victory at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Ablorh, who joined Kotoko on a two-year deal from Guinean giants Hafia FC at the start of the season, has been a key figure in coach Prosper Narteh Ogum’s defensive setup. He has made 11 league appearances and played a pivotal role in Kotoko’s recent 2-0 win over Aduana Stars, a result that ended their four-game winless streak.
Speaking to the club’s official media after training, the center-back expressed his confidence in neutralizing Hearts of Oak’s attack, stating:
“Our game against Hearts of Oak is an easy one because I have played against good strikers outside, and I don’t see any tough strikers at Hearts. We shall win against Hearts on Sunday.”
Kotoko comes into the clash with momentum following their FA Cup victory over Future Stars and their league win against Aduana Stars.
Sunday’s Super Clash, which kicks off at 3:00 PM GMT, is expected to draw a packed crowd to the iconic Baba Yara Stadium as the two Ghanaian football giants renew their historic rivalry in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
