Pedri visited the emblematic Barça Store Canaletes on Friday to get his first look at what will be his new shirt in the 2022/23 season.
To celebrate his inheritance of Dani Alves’ number 8 jersey, the midfielder also signed autographs and posed for pictures with fans.
The number 8 shirt is particularly associated to the great Andrés Iniesta. Indeed, Pedri admitted that “I have dreamed of wearing the number 8 shirt since I was a kid.”
He also said he wanted to “thank the fans for their warm reception since I joined the club in August 2020. I hope the season to come will be a great year. We are building a great team and the signings we make will bring a lot of freshness.”
