‘Begging Players to play for Ghana is not wrong’ – Former Kotoko star Eric Bekoe

Former Ghana attacker Eric Bekoe believes begging players to play the various Ghana national teams is not a wrong thing to be done.

His comments comes after the FA’s persistent chase of Mohammed Salisu, Tariq Lamptey, Callum Hudson-Odoi among others.

Some have expressed their displeasure over this move by the FA but Bekoe disagrees.

“It’s never wrong to persuade Ghanaian born players to play for Ghana because it happens elsewhere.  It’s time to build the confidence of our local players to reach high standards to avoid players snubbing our national team invitation ; it’s a disgrace to the GFA.”

Bekoe previously played for Ghana Premier League giant Asante Kotoko SC where he made a name for himself.
