Hearts of Oak have reportedly completed the medical of Benjamin Asare, a goalkeeper from Great Olympics, ahead of his move to the club.
The 32-year-old custodian is set to join up with Aboubakar Ouattara’s squad and is expected to take over the club’s number one spot.
According to sources, Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics have reached an agreement for Asare’s transfer, which is expected to be finalized later today after he signs his contract and completes the necessary paperwork.
Asare is scheduled to meet with Hearts of Oak’s Managing Director later today to finalize the deal and sign his two-year contract. The Phobians are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2024/25 campaign following a disastrous campaign which nearly saw the team relegated.
The club has been working hard to agree a deal with Great Olympics in the past week for Asare, and it appears they are finally closing in on their target.
The Ghana Premier League side is hoping that Asare’s arrival will provide a boost to their goalkeeping department and help them improve their performance next season.
