The national U17 women’s team, the Black Maidens, are gearing up for an important international assignment as they prepare to face Liberia in the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

Fans and supporters have been urged to turn up in their numbers this Saturday in Accra to back the young Ghanaian side as they aim to secure a strong first-leg advantage before travelling for the return fixture in Liberia on 30th May.

The opening leg in Accra is expected to set the tone for the two-legged tie, with the Black Maidens determined to make home advantage count. The team has intensified preparations in camp, focusing on tactical organisation, finishing drills, and defensive discipline as they look to deliver a commanding performance.

The return leg in Liberia is scheduled for 30th May, where Ghana will be required to remain focused and composed to complete the job away from home and strengthen their chances of progressing in the qualification campaign.

The technical team has emphasized the importance of unity, concentration, and clinical execution in both matches, knowing that every detail could prove decisive in a tight qualification battle.

With national pride at stake, the Black Maidens are expected to approach the tie with intensity and ambition, as they aim to take a major step toward securing a place at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.

Supporters are therefore being called upon to rally behind the team in Accra this weekend and help inspire the young squad to a crucial first-leg victory.
