Black Stars: Performance of Otto Addo’s 55-man provisional squad over the weekend

As the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament draws closer players are stepping up their performances and Black Stars players are no exception.

Head coach Otto Addo announced his 55-man provisional squad for the World Cup on Friday and the performance of those players has been put under the microscope by Ghana Sports Online.

Only 4 players were able to find the back of the net for their clubs.

Below is a comprehensive wrap and report on the performance of the players during the weekend.

Emmanuel Gyasi is injured and missed Spezia’s 2-1 loss at AC Milan in the Serie A during the weekend.

Osman Bukari lasted 66 minutes for Red Star Belgrade in their 2-0 home win over Mladost in the Serbian top-flight league.

German-born Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer scored for Hamburg SV in their 3-1 win over Regensburg in Bundesliga II. He played 90 minutes.

Kamal Sowah played 59 minutes for Club Brugge in their 2-0 away loss to Gent in Belgium.

Samuel Owusu lasted 88 minutes for Cukaricki in their 0-0 draw at Napredak in Serbia.

Christopher Antwi-Adjei played 20 minutes Bochum in their 3-0 away loss to Dortmund.

Joel Fameyeh scored the only goal of the game Rubin Kazan when they beat Dynamo Makhachkala 1-0 in the Russian second-tier league.

STRIKERS

Cremonese held Salernitana to a 2-2 drawn game in the Serie A. Forward Felix Afena-Gyan came off the bench to play 15 minutes for Cremonese.

Antoine Semenyo played 68 minutes for Bristol City in their 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough in the Championship.

Inaki Williams played 90 minutes for Athletic Club in their 2-1 loss at Girona in La Liga.

Kwasi Okyere Wriedt scored a brace for Holstein Kiel in their 4-1 away win over Karlsruher SC in Bundesliga II. He lasted the entire period of the game.

Caleb Ekuban might be in the Genoa squad for their Serie B game against Reggina.

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom played just 14 minutes for Lamia in their 2-2 drawn game with Volos in Greece.
