Al-Hilal Omdurman is on the hunt for a crucial victory as they face Petro de Luanda, the group leaders, in a high-stakes encounter to determine their fate in Group C of the CAF Champions League.

Match Preview:

Al-Hilal finds themselves at the bottom of Group C and will be eager for a win to keep their hopes alive for advancing to the next phase.

On the other hand, Petro de Luanda leads the group and a victory would secure their spot in the next round. A tightly contested match with both teams scoring is anticipated.

Statistics:

  • Al-Hilal has won 4 out of their last 5 home matches across all competitions.
  • They’ve netted 10 goals in 5 home games while conceding 4.
  • Petro de Luanda has won 2 out of their last 5 home fixtures.
  • They’ve scored 8 goals at home while conceding just 2 in 5 matches.

Head to Head:

In their sole encounter in the CAF Champions League last year, Al-Hilal suffered a 1-0 defeat away to Petro de Luanda.

Al Hilal Omdurman Form:

Al-Hilal occupies the bottom spot in Group C with four points, showing inconsistent performances throughout.

Their campaign began with a 1-0 away loss to Petro de Luanda, followed by a 3-1 home win against ES Tunis. However, they faltered with a 1-0 loss away to ES Sahel and a 1-1 draw in the return leg.

In a friendly against DC United, Al-Hilal emerged victorious with a 3-1 scoreline.

With two wins in their last five matches, Al-Hilal needs a strong performance to stand a chance in the knockout phase, especially against an in-form Petro de Luanda side.

Al-Hilal Omdurman News & Injuries:

Pape Abdou N’Diaye and Mohamed Abdelrahman have been key contributors with two goals each in the 2023/24 CAF Champions League, while Yasir Mozamil has added one to their tally.

Petro de Luanda Form:

Petro de Luanda leads Group C with eight points from four matches, displaying dominance in the competition.

They began with a narrow 1-0 home win against Al-Hilal before securing a 2-0 victory away to ES Sahel.

Subsequent matches against ES Tunis ended in goalless draws, both away and at home.

With four wins in their last five matches, Petro de Luanda boasts a strong offensive record, having scored 13 goals and conceded just three.

Petro de Luanda News & Injuries:

Alexandre Guedes leads the scoring charts for Petro de Luanda with three goals in the current edition of the CAF Champions League, while Kinito has contributed two goals to their campaign.
