Nsoatreman FC faced a challenging test at home, falling 2-0 to Algerian side CS Constantine in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round.
The match, held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday afternoon, saw the Ghanaian FA Cup champions struggle to keep up with their North African opponents.
Nsoatreman started the game with promise, and in the 7th minute, Kwabena Adu Meider nearly put them ahead. He found himself in a great position, but his close-range shot narrowly missed the target, leaving fans disappointed.
CS Constantine quickly gained control of the match. Just five minutes after Meider’s chance, Zakaria Benchaa opened the scoring with a stunning solo effort.
