Ghanaian defender Christopher Nettey has completed a move to Zimbabwean powerhouse Dynamos FC, marking an exciting new chapter in his professional career.

The 27-year-old right-back, best known for his impactful spell with Asante Kotoko, joins the Harare-based side—popularly known as the “Glamour Boys”—as they prepare for a demanding season that includes participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Nettey’s arrival is already being felt at the club, with the defender quickly earning a place in the starting lineup in recent matches. His experience and defensive discipline are seen as key assets as Dynamos look to strengthen their backline and compete both domestically and on the continental stage.

The move is widely regarded as a strategic signing by Dynamos, who are aiming to replace departing players while also adding leadership and stability to their squad. Nettey brings with him valuable experience from the Ghana Premier League, where he played a crucial role in Asante Kotoko’s triumphant 2021/22 title-winning campaign.

Before this transfer, Nettey featured for Accra Great Olympics and Nations FC, building a reputation as a reliable and hardworking defender. In an interesting twist in his career, he also had a brief stint in Ghana’s Futsal Premier League with Blessed Kickers FC in late 2024, a move aimed at maintaining match fitness while seeking opportunities abroad.

On the international stage, Nettey has also tasted action with the Ghana national team, earning a call-up during the 2020 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Although he is yet to become a regular fixture in the national team, his latest move presents a fresh opportunity to revive his international ambitions.

For Nettey, the switch to Dynamos represents more than just a transfer—it is a chance to re-establish himself, gain international exposure, and play a key role in a historic African club. With his experience, determination, and hunger to succeed, he will be aiming to make a lasting impact in Zimbabwean football.

As Dynamos gear up for a challenging season, all eyes will be on Christopher Nettey to see how he adapts and contributes to the club’s quest for success both at home and in Africa.
