Columbus Crew SC captain Jonathan Mensah responded to the latest Black Stars snub with a beautiful strike in the MLS on Saturday.
The Ghanaian international played full throttle for his team as they threw away a healthy two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Montreal in the Major League Soccer in America.
Steven Moreira’s pinpoint cross into the box was met with a thunderous header from Mensah into the bottom right corner from the center of the box.
Crew scored again two minutes later to double their advantage when Lucas Zelarayan found the bottom right corner following a powerful strike from outside the box.
With just over 14 minutes to the end of the match, Luiz Díaz’s violent conduct was met with a red card which reduced the Yellow and Blacks outfit to 10-men.
The host took full advantage and scored twice through Victor Wanyama and Zachary Bruailt-Guillard to make the final score 2-2.
The 32-year-old Ghana defender has two goals and one assist in 28 games this season in the MLS for Columbus Crew SC.
