Besiktas Sporting Director, Ceyhun Kazancı, has confirmed that the unveiling of Daniel Amartey, the Ghanaian defender, will take place this week.
Last week, it was reported by Sportsworldghana that Amartey had signed a three-year contract with the Turkish giants after leaving Leicester City at the end of his contract.
During a press conference, Sporting Director Ceyhun Kazancı announced that the signing of the 28-year-old Ghanaian, along with Russian international Daler Kuzyaev, would be officially announced this week.
“We’ve made progress on Daler Kuzyaev and Daniel Amartey. Both players will be announced this week. We are trying to complete the transfers,” he stated, as reported by Fanatik.
Amartey had a successful stint at Leicester City, making over 106 appearances in the English Premier League since his arrival from Denmark in 2016, before parting ways with the club.
The Ghanaian defender has also represented his national team, the Black Stars, earning 48 caps at the senior level.
