Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper and captain, Danlad Ibrahim, has expressed confidence in his former club’s ability to secure victory against rivals Hearts of Oak in the highly anticipated Super Clash on Sunday.
The two most decorated clubs in Ghana will face off at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi in a matchday 13 fixture of the Ghana Premier League, with bragging rights and crucial points at stake.
Danlad, now playing for Ethiopian Coffee in the Ethiopian Premier League, believes Kotoko will deliver a win as a perfect Christmas gift for their passionate supporters.
“Kotoko has dominated Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium for some years now, and I believe this current team will continue that trend,” Danlad said. “I trust the players, and In Sha Allah, Kotoko will use Hearts of Oak for Christmas.”
The Porcupine Warriors are aiming to close the gap on Hearts of Oak, who are one point ahead of them on the league table. With the stakes high, the Super Clash promises to be a thrilling encounter for fans of both sides.
