Depay who could have played for Ghana opens Euro 2020 goal account

The future FC Barcelona player scores his first goal of the Euro 2020 as Holland beat Austria by 2-0 to book their Round of 16 ticket on Thursday. 

Memphis Depay – scored from the spot kick – to put his team ahead before Denzel Dumfries made it 2-0 after the hour mark.

Depay – born to a Ghanaian father and a Dutch mother – could have chosen to represent the country of his father but that did not happen.

Nevertheless the Lyon captain still loves Ghana and once paid a visit to the country of Kwame Nkrumah. where he embarked on a number of charitable projects.
