Seydou Zerbo expressed his frustration over his team’s first home defeat of the season to Medeama SC on Sunday. The Porcupine Warriors were 2-0 down at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium after goals from Jonathan Sowah and Vincent Atinga.
The current GPL holders did not perform their best in their disappointing loss to a Medeama side that had not won any of their previous ten away games.
In a post-match interview, the Burkinabé coach admitted that their game plan failed due to a lack of concentration, determination, and execution of tactics.
The Burkinabé tactician said: “Our game plan didn’t work today. We lost concentration, determination and the game plan. We couldn’t apply the tactical ploy very well.”
Zerbo expressed his disappointment with the result and acknowledged that they needed to work on their mistakes.
“I am very disappointed with how the result came. We still have to accept it and work on the mistakes,” Coach Seydou Zerbo told StarTimes.
The Porcupine Warriors will now focus on their upcoming match against Legon Cities in Accra.
They are currently in seventh place on the league table with 34 points after 22 matches.
