Ghanaian youngster Douglas Owusu is on the verge of completing a big-money move to FC Viktoria Plzeň after an agreement was reached with Red Star Belgrade over his transfer, GHANAsoccernet.com report.
The deal is understood to be worth €3.3 million, with an additional €1 million in performance-related add-ons, making it the highest transfer fee ever paid by Viktoria Plzeň.
Sources indicate that personal terms have already been agreed between the player’s representatives in Ghana, Do It Soccer Agency, and the Czech champions several days ago.
Owusu is expected to travel for medical examinations next Tuesday before officially completing the move and signing a long-term contract.
The 20-year-old has enjoyed a rapid rise over the past year, establishing himself as one of the most promising Ghanaian talents in Eastern Europe.
After impressing at FK Radnik Surdulica, he earned a January move to Red Star Belgrade, where he quickly broke into the first team under Dejan Stanković.
