Dreams FC has officially welcomed former Hearts of Oak and Ghanaian goalkeeper Sammy Adjei to their ranks as the new goalkeepers trainer.
Adjei, a legendary figure in Ghanaian football, is set to bring his wealth of experience to enhance Dreams FC’s goalkeeping department for the upcoming season.
The addition of Sammy Adjei to their technical team comes as Dreams FC prepares for their inaugural African campaign after clinching the FA Cup championship. The club took to their official Facebook page to announce the exciting appointment, stating, “Former Black Stars goalkeeper Sammy Adjei is our new Goalkeeper Coach.”
Adjei’s remarkable career includes being a pivotal player for Hearts of Oak during their successful spell, securing multiple titles, and contributing to their CAF Champions League and CAF Super Cup victories in 2000 and 2001 against Esperance de Tunis and Zamalek of Egypt, respectively. He also played a crucial role in the Black Stars’ historic qualification for the FIFA World Cup.
With Dreams FC gearing up for their CAF Confederations Cup campaign, where they are set to face Milo FC from Guinea in the first preliminary round, the addition of Sammy Adjei to their coaching staff adds a significant boost to their ambitions. The team will embark on their journey with an away match against Milo FC before the return fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium.
