Austrian club LASK, have completed the signing of Wesley Frimpong, the younger brother of Bayer Leverkusen’s Dutch-Ghanaian star Jeremie Frimpong from Bolton Wanderers in the ongoing transfer window.
LASK managed to secure the signature of 19-year old Frimpong who was also being chased by German Bundesliga Champions Bayern 04 Leverkusen.
The talented right-back’s contract at Bolton was due expiration this summer and has opted not to renew his contract with the English club, switching camp to Austria to enhance his Europe breakthrough chances in the coming years.
Wesley Frimpong was moved to the reserve side last year at Bolton but he never found a way to be in the senior squad.
The promising defender remains eligible to represent both Ghana and the Netherlands at the senior national level.
