Following Asante Kotoko’s come-from-behind win over Aduana Stars on Sunday, goalkeeper Frederick Asare has shared his reaction on social media.
Asare played a key role in the 2-1 victory against the league leaders, with his saves helping to secure the three points for the Porcupine Warriors. Isaac Mintah opened the scoring for Aduana, but Kotoko fought back through Steven Mukwala’s equalizer and Eric Zeze’s winner.
“Great comeback, sweet victory,” wrote Asare on Twitter.
The goalkeeper joined Kotoko at the beginning of the 2022/23 season and has made 12 appearances so far, keeping four clean sheets. The club has yet to determine its first-choice goalkeeper, with Asare and Danlad Ibrahim rotating in games.
With the win, Kotoko closed the gap on Aduana Stars to five points in the race for the league title.
