Ghanaian international Ernest Nuamah showcased an impressive performance on Friday night, contributing significantly to Olympique Lyon’s triumph over OGC Nice in the French Ligue 1.
The talented winger played a pivotal role for his team, starting the home match staged at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais. In the Round 22 encounter of the ongoing Ligue 1 campaign, Nuamah provided the crucial assist for the only goal of the match in the 22nd minute, setting up Orel Mangala to score and give Lyon the lead heading into halftime.
Despite OGC Nice’s spirited efforts after the break, they failed to find an equalizer, ultimately succumbing to a narrow defeat at the end of the 90 minutes.
During the game, Nuamah showcased his prowess for 79 minutes before being substituted by Rayan Cherki.
With 18 appearances for Olympique Lyon this season, the Black Stars winger has contributed one goal and two assists.
