Mark Addo, Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has admitted the senior national team, the Black Stars need to improve their performance under manager Chris Hughton.
The four-time African Champions have failed to convince with quality performances in their recent games played under new coach Chris Hughton.
The former Brighton boss, since his appointment, has played three games all in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers and has delivered a win and two draws.
Speaking on Nhyira FM, Mark Addo who chairs the Black Stars management Committee, conceded the team’s performance of late has been uninspiring, admitting, however, that the Black Stars can get better under Chris Hughton.
“I know the Black Stars can do better and that’s why we have not been satisfied with the team’s performance recently,” he said.
“Even Chris Hughton has said that we need to improve.” he added.
The team, meanwhile, will be regroup for their final games of the qualifiers against the Central African Republic (CAR) on September 7 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The Black Stars need at least a draw in the game against CAR to qualify for the tournament that will be held in Ivory Coast next year.
