Asante Kotoko legend Sarfo Gyamfi has dubbed the club’s upcoming Ghana Premier League match against Hearts of Oak a “do or die” encounter.
The highly anticipated clash, set for December 14, 2024, at Baba Yara Stadium, will see the Porcupine Warriors host their arch-rivals on matchday 13. The domestic league is currently on break due to the upcoming General Elections.
Speaking to Kessben FM, Gyamfi expressed confidence in Kotoko’s ability to defeat Hearts of Oak, emphasizing that their recent dominance over the Phobians will continue.
“We’ve defeated Hearts of Oak in our last three meetings, and nothing will change this time. We don’t care about their current form. It’s a different ball game when we face Hearts,” he said.
“This is a do or die affair. Even if we have to go into the sea to beat them, we will do it. We are not afraid at all,” Gyamfi added.
Kotoko currently sit 7th in the league standings with 18 points, while Hearts of Oak are in 6th place with 19 points.
