Former Ghana youth international Eric Ayiah has Portuguese third-tier side CD Trofense after leaving Gil Vicente.
The player has penned a two-year deal with the Liga Portuga 3 side as he hopes to play first-team football for the 2023/24 season.
Ayiah joined Gil Vicente last summer hoping to get first-team opportunities. However, the forward had none come his way and decided to terminate his contract with the club.
The 23-year-old scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 24 appearances for Gil Vicente U23s in the U23 Taca Revelacao last season.
Ayaih’s deal with Trofense is valid until the summer of 2025.
He has been struggling for top-flight football following his exploits at the 2017 FIFA World Cup after which he signed for AS Monaco.
