English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers is reportedly interested in securing a potential £2 million deal for Dutch-born Ghanaian goalkeeper Rome-Jayden Owusu-Oduro, according to the Express & Star.
The club is exploring the possibility of acquiring the services of the young talent, who achieved success by winning the UEFA Youth League last season.
If Wolves act swiftly, it is suggested that AZ Alkmaar might be open to a deal valued as low as £2 million for the goalkeeper, who has featured nine times for their reserves in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie this season, per Transfermarkt.
Despite Owusu-Oduro signing a new two-year deal with AZ Alkmaar, keeping him at the club until 2028, Wolves seems determined to pursue the talented shot-stopper.
Notably, the Dutch goalkeeper made his senior debut in the Conference League against Legia Warsaw.
It’s worth noting that Owusu-Oduro remains eligible to play for Ghana on the international stage, despite having represented the Dutch U-21 team.
