Management of Ghana Premier League club Asante Kotoko has recalled transfer-listed goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe to the club’s fold, SportsworldGhana.com can report.
Muntari Tagoe ,Daniel Nii Adjei, Naby Keita, Jordan Opoku, Obed Owusu and Frederick Boateng were reported to have been declared surplus to requirement by management of the club ahead of the 2019 GFA Normalaisation Committee Special Cup but the club upon further deliberations have decided to recall the former Medeama SC goalie to be part of CK Akonnor’s squad.
The 27-year shot- stopper has been forced to play second fiddle to Felix Annan since arriving at the club in October 2018 after terminating his contract with Ethiopian giants St. Georges.
Speaking to Kumasi-based FOX FM, deputy greater Accra rep Nana Kwame Dankwah disclosed Muntari will not more be part of the players who have been sacked by the Porcupine Warriors.
“The two parties have agreed to rescind the decision to release him so he will continue with Kotoko. We agreed that the decision to let him go should be reviewed and that’s how come he will stay on for now”.
The Porcupine Warriors currently have four goalkeepers in their fold namely Felix Annan, Osei Kwame, Muntari Tagoe and Ibrahim Danland.
