The Black Princesses sailed through Eswatini, securing a decisive 2-0 victory in Accra to advance to the final stage of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup. Having triumphed 6-1 in the first leg, the Ghana U20 Women’s team had already positioned themselves for progression.
A swift performance saw Beline Nyarko break the deadlock with a superb finish just six minutes into the match. Shortly after, Sarah Nyarko extended the lead, connecting flawlessly with an inch-perfect cross from Wasiima Mohammed.
Dominating the game, the Black Princesses entered halftime with a comfortable advantage. In the second half, Coach Yussif Basigi introduced Yazdatu Suleiman for Sarah Nyarko and Rose Boakyewaa for Jacqueline Amponsah in quick succession.
Despite these changes, the team couldn’t add to their lead, maintaining control until the final whistle. The Black Princesses aspire to secure a seventh consecutive appearance at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, eyeing qualification for the tournament in Colombia next year.
