Charles Kwadwo Ntim, also known as Mickey Charles, the former Chief Executive Officer of Techiman City, has blamed GFA boss Kurt Okraku for the collapse of football in Ghana.
He called Okraku paranoid and questioned whether he had started his campaign for reelection. According to Charles, the senior national team, the Black Stars, will not perform well in the upcoming Afcon tournament in Ivory Coast.
Charles stated in an interview with Ark FM, “He is paranoid now like somebody is stalking him I want to know that now has he started campaign? Now all of a sudden commissioning of boreholes, he is collapsing our football totally… While we are talking if we don’t put our house in order the Abidjan one we will sit in Ghana and Dormaa and watch it we will likely not go further I won’t be a prophet of doom.”
Charles believes that unless the Ghanaian football community comes together and works towards a common goal, Ghana’s football fortunes will continue to decline.
He also noted that while Ghana’s football league may not be on par with those in Germany or England, it is still possible to achieve better results if efforts are made to improve the sport in the country.
