Coventry City manager Frank Lampard has showered praise on Ghanaian forward Solomon Thomas-Asante for his spectacular goal in the team’s 2-0 win over Swansea City in the EFL Championship.
Thomas-Asante produced a moment of brilliance in the 44th minute, executing a superb lob just before halftime to put Coventry ahead. The goal played a crucial role in securing the club’s fourth consecutive victory.
Lampard was highly impressed with the quality of the strike, describing it as:
“An individual moment of brilliance, instinctive, but real quality.”
He further credited Thomas-Asante’s dedication and work ethic, emphasizing that the goal was a result of his consistent effort on the pitch.
“These things come off the back of doing all the right things, all the right hold-ups, and all the right runs, but that was something outstanding,” Lampard added.
Thomas-Asante has now registered four goals in 29 league appearances this season. Coventry’s latest victory has propelled them to 11th place in the 24-team Championship standings.
