The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Burundian referee Georges Gatogato to officiate the upcoming TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Angola and Ghana.
Gatogato, a 36-year-old who has been a FIFA-listed referee since 2007, will lead a team of fellow Burundian officials. Joining him are Rénovat Bizumuremyi as Assistant Referee I, Olivier Nibogora as Assistant Referee II, and Rodrigue Bigirimana as the Fourth Official.
Gatogato brings extensive experience, with a career that spans multiple CAF tournaments, including the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, CAF Champions League, and CAF Confederation Cup. His officiating credentials earned him a role at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
