Prosper Harrison Addo, the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has stepped forward to contribute GHS 4,000.00 to support the ongoing renovation works at the Sunyani Coronation Park.
The donation was made to the Bono Regional Office of the National Sports Authority (NSA), showing his commitment to enhancing football infrastructure in the region.
The need for the renovation of the Coronation Park became a pressing concern for the public in Sunyani when Bofoakwa Tano FC, a traditional team of the Bono Region, qualified to use the park as its home venue for the Ghana Premier League.
However, the park had suffered from years of neglect and required substantial upgrades to meet the standards of a premier league venue. The renovation includes improvements to the dressing room, safe zone, inner perimeter, press center, and playing pitch.
In addition to Prosper Harrison Addo’s generous contribution, several individuals have also shown their support by purchasing construction materials and volunteering their time to help with the building process.
Their collective efforts demonstrate the passion and dedication of the local community to create a suitable environment for their beloved football team and to boost the overall footballing experience in the region.
The donation from the GFA’s General Secretary highlights the organization’s commitment to fostering football development across different regions of Ghana.
With the support of individuals and the GFA, the Sunyani Coronation Park’s rehabilitation is set to transform the venue into a premier league standard facility, providing Bofoakwa Tano FC and other teams with an ideal home ground to showcase their talent and entertain football enthusiasts in the region.
