Black Stars’ deputy coach, George Boateng has been named as part of beIN SPORTS star-studded punditry team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be staged in Qatar.
beIN SPORTS is the Official Broadcaster of the global showpiece tournament in 24 Middle East and North Africa territories and France, and the 120 leading international, regional and local on-screen male and female talent bring together the greatest and most diverse broadcast team ever assembled.
Boateng is part of Ghana’s technical bench for the Mundial alongside Otto Addo, Chris Hughton and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani.
The former Aston Villa U-23 manager joins the likes of Brazil legend Kaka, Marcel Desailly, David Villa, Alessandro Del Piero, Denmark’s Peter Schmeichel, France’s Arsene Wenger and 1998 World Cup winner Marcel Desailly, Germany’s 1990 winner Lothar Matthaus, Dutchman Ruud Gullit and former Republic of Ireland international Jason McAteer for the coverage of the tournament.
Boateng will be hoping to guide the Black Stars past the group stage phase after a poor showing during the 2014 edition in Brazil.
