Baba Rahman joyfully celebrated PAOK’s Greek Super League title win after a thrilling 2-1 victory over Aris.
The decisive win secured PAOK’s fourth championship in the club’s history, with the game highlighted by a brilliant 60th-minute team effort that Brazilian midfielder Taison finished off.
Aris had briefly equalized at the start of the second half with a superb strike from Loren Morón. However, PAOK’s relentless determination shone through, with Giannis Konstantelias orchestrating a brilliant sequence that led to Taison’s match-winning goal thirty minutes from the final whistle.
AEK, who had hoped to claim the title themselves, saw their efforts rendered moot despite a 3-0 win over Lamia, as PAOK’s victory ensured their triumph. As a result, PAOK earned the right to compete in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.
Rahman has overcome significant injuries that plagued his career between 2017 and 2020, including Meniscus damage, a torn Cruciate ligament, and a knee injury that required extensive surgery.
Despite struggling to find stability due to these health issues and moving between loan deals, Rahman finally found a home at PAOK, signing a three-year contract as a free agent from Chelsea earlier this season.
Appearing in 44 matches this term, Rahman made a significant impact, contributing six goals and four assists.
