The 21-year-old has been rewarded for his steady development and impressive performances during the 2025/26 season, with the Dons moving quickly to secure the future of one of their promising young talents.
Sasu, a product of Wimbledon’s youth academy, joined the club in the summer of 2021 and has gradually risen through the ranks before cementing his place in the senior squad.
His progress has impressed both the club’s technical team and supporters, with the exciting attacker displaying maturity, creativity, and attacking quality throughout the campaign.
In an official statement released following the end of the season, AFC Wimbledon confirmed that they had exercised the option to extend the contracts of several players, including Sasu.
The left-footed winger made 25 appearances in all competitions during the 2025/26 season, scoring four goals for the Cherry Red Records Stadium outfit while contributing in several crucial matches.
Born in London to Ghanaian parents, Sasu remains eligible to represent Ghana national football team at international level.
