The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season concluded with Medeama emerging as the champions.
In a thrilling final day showdown at Akoon Park, Medeama secured their first-ever Ghana Premier League title by defeating Tamale City with a resounding 3-0 victory.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) president and other esteemed guests graced the coronation match between Medeama and Tamale City.
Reflecting on the overall season, the GFA president expressed his utmost satisfaction with the level of competition showcased throughout the top-flight league.
“It has been unbelievable, surpassing all expectations. Today, we have made a definitive statement that we have a deep passion for our sports. We cherish our Ghana Premier League, and it remains vibrant,” he enthusiastically conveyed to StarTimes.
“The season we have witnessed has been an incredible journey. It provided us all with the opportunity to savor football played at the highest level of quality. Until the last minutes of our game on the final day, everyone was on edge. Ghana football is thriving,” he added, emphasizing the vitality of the sport in the country.
