Real Temale United showed character on match day 3 as they fought to earn a point in 2-2 draw against Hearts of Lions on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
The Pride of the North hosted Hearts of Lions on match day 3 of the 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League in Temale on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Bofoakwa Tano FC.
Real Temale United took the early in the 7th minute through Afriyie Owusu but Ebenezer Abban equalized for the visitors in the 41th minute before the half time break.
Hearts of Lions came back in the second half as the better team and got the lead in the 72nd minute with Seedorf Afful Asante scoring.
Hearts of Lions were hoping to walk away with the maximum 3 points but a resilient RTU made sure that won’t happen.
Abdul Fatawu Sayibu scored in 76th minute to share the points at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Temale.
Real Temale United are now 8th on the league table while Hearts of Lions occupy the 12th position.
