Ghanaian young talent Abdul Fatawu Issahaku continued to impress in Leicester City’s commanding away victory against Blackburn Rovers in the English Championship on Sunday afternoon.
Fatawu Issahaku, currently on a season-long loan from Portuguese side Sporting CP, played for 58 minutes and played a key role in setting up Wout Faes for the opening goal of the match for Leicester City.
Jamie Vardy added another brilliant goal for the Foxes at Ewood Park after Sammie Szmodics had equalized Wout Faes’ early header, giving Leicester the lead again.
Rovers put up a spirited fight, but late goals from Kelechi Iheanacho (from a penalty) and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall secured the victory for Leicester City.
This win marked their eighth league victory in nine games, allowing them to capitalize on the dropped points by Ipswich and Preston on Saturday, moving them two points clear at the top of the table.
On the other hand, Blackburn’s third consecutive defeat, and their fourth in five Championship matches, caused them to drop to 18th place, just two points above the relegation zone.
