Nations FC delivered an impressive 3-0 victory over Legon Cities at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Saturday, December 21, 2024.
Nafiu Sulemana’s first-half double and a second-half goal from Barimah Baah ensured Nations FC returned to winning form. The hosts took an early lead just seven minutes into the match when Sulemana struck decisively.
Their advantage was extended before halftime when a penalty was awarded. Sulemana calmly converted, sending goalkeeper Joseph Kuma the wrong way to secure his brace.
After the break, Nations FC maintained their dominance. In the 66th minute, Baohen provided an assist for Barimah Baah, who sealed the win with a clinical finish.
The victory moves Nations FC to fourth on the league table with 25 points, just two points shy of leaders Heart of Lions. Meanwhile, Legon Cities remain anchored at the bottom with 11 points, as their poor form persists.
Nations FC will travel to face reigning champions Samartex in their next fixture, while Legon Cities will aim to bounce back when they host Aduana Stars.
