Aduana FC will be eager to return to winning ways when they welcome bottom-placed Legon Cities to the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
The Fire Club enter matchday 32 occupying 10th place on the table with 41 points after a disappointing 5-3 defeat to relegation-threatened Accra Lions last weekend. With 31 goals scored and 31 conceded, Aduana FC remain one of the league’s joint fourth-highest scoring sides, but have struggled for consistency throughout the campaign.
However, their home form has been a bright spot. Aduana are currently among the best home performers in the league, having gone unbeaten in their last five home matches with four straight wins and one draw. They’ll be aiming to extend that run and secure all three points in front of their home fans on Sunday.
Their opponents, Legon Cities, are in deep crisis. The Royals sit in the bottom three of the league table with just 25 points from 31 matches. A string of four defeats in their last five games (W1) has only worsened their plight, and they face an uphill battle to avoid relegation. Offensively, they’ve managed just 22 goals, the second-lowest tally in the division while shipping a league-high 43 goals, highlighting a season marred by defensive frailties.
Legon Cities’ away form is equally dismal. They are the worst-performing side on the road and remain the only team yet to register a single away victory this season, an ominous statistic as they prepare to visit one of the league’s toughest venues.
Historically, Dormaa has proven to be an unwelcoming ground for Legon Cities. In their four league visits to Aduana FC since the 2020/21 season, they’ve failed to register a win—losing three and drawing once. Aduana triumphed 2-1 in 2020/21, drew 1-1 the following season, and have claimed back-to-back 1-0 wins in both the 2022/23 and 2023/24 campaigns.
