A high-stakes relegation battle is set for Sunday at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex as Vision FC take on Karela United in a crucial Premier League match.

Vision FC currently sit 14th on the league table with 36 points, just one point above the drop zone. With the relegation picture tightening, this encounter presents a golden opportunity for Nana Agyeman’s side to widen the gap between themselves and the bottom three. The Tema-based outfit have recorded two wins, one draw, and two losses in their last five matches. They’ve scored 27 goals but remain vulnerable at the back, having conceded 34 times, one of the highest tallies in the league.

Despite their overall struggles, Vision have turned their home ground into a fortress. They are unbeaten in their last nine home matches, winning six and drawing three. Their recent back-to-back 2-0 home wins over Gold Stars FC and Young Apostles speak to their growing confidence on home soil, and they will be eager to extend that form when they welcome a direct relegation rival for the first time in the top flight.

Karela United arrive in Tema knowing that only a win can lift them out of the relegation zone. The Tamale-based side currently occupy 16th place with 35 points, one behind their hosts. However, recent performances offer a glimmer of hope, Karela are unbeaten in their last three matches, with back-to-back victories over Gold Stars FC and Medeama SC after drawing with Heart of Lions. They’ve scored just 22 goals, among the league’s lowest, but have remained disciplined at the back, conceding only 25.

Under the guidance of Nurudeen Amadu, Karela have emerged as one of the league’s better away sides. They’ve collected points in three of their last five games on the road, keeping three clean sheets in that span (W1, D2, L2). With survival at stake, they will look to continue that resilient form on their trip south.

This fixture marks the first-ever top-flight meeting between Vision FC and Karela United in Tema, setting the stage for a tense, season-defining showdown.
