Bechem United will square off with Asante Kotoko at Nana Fosu Gyeabuor Park on Saturday, April 6, 2024. The Hunters head into the game fresh from a 1-0 loss to Legon Cities in the quarterfinal of the MTN FA Cup.

Bechem United are 5th in the league table with 33 points, having won 2, drawn 1, and suffered 2 defeats in their last 5 outings, with one outstanding game against Dreams FC. The Hunters have picked up 23 points at home, scored 16 and conceded 5 goals, and boasts of 4 wins out of their last 5 home games at Bechem, where they have not conceded a goal in all 4 victories.

Asante Kotoko are 10th in the league table with 32 points after going 4 consecutive league games without a win, crashing to 4 defeats and 1 win in their last five games.

The Porcupine Warriors are currently the best away performers in this campaign after picking up 14 points in 12 games on the road. The Reds have yet to record a win on the road since Matchday 17, when they defeated Bofoakwa Tano 2-0 at Sunyani Coronation Park on Saturday, December 30, 2023.

Bechem United have played Asante Kotoko three times at home in the Ghana Premier League since the 2020/21 season, with Bechem United winning 2 and drawing 1. The Hunters beat Asante Kotoko 2-1 in 2020/21, drew 0-0 in 2021/22, and won 2-0 in the 2022/23 season.

Bechem United boasts of Cephas Mantey, Emmanuel Abbabio, Francis Acquah, Emmanuel Annor, David Asabere, Joseph Kinful, Seth Kwadwo, Kwame Offin, Abdul Salifu, and Kelvin Appiah.

Stephen Mukwala Desse has returned to the Asante Kotoko set-up after representing Uganda in last month’s international friendly games against Comoros and Ghana. Mukwala has banged in 9 league goals for the Porcupine Warriors and will be aiming to add to his tally on Saturday. Also in the Reds set-up are Peter Acquah, Justice Blay, Richmond Lamptey, Emmanuel Kotei, Andrews Ntim, Yusif Nurudeen, Isaac Oppong, and Bernard Somuah.

The game will be broadcast live on StarTimes Adepa channel 247 at 3pm on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
