The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has shared exciting news for futsal enthusiasts and sports fans.
The highly anticipated 16-team futsal club league is set to begin this weekend, promising an intense season of thrilling competition and skillful gameplay.
GFA spokesman Henry Asante Twum expressed his enthusiasm for the league, noting that it provides a platform for talented players to demonstrate their abilities and compete for top honors in the rapidly expanding sport of futsal.
“Now we will be playing a 16 club competition we are starting from Accra. The first thing we decided to do is to make available free footballs to all the registered clubs. From last week to this morning the clubs majority have come for their football,” he said on Peace FM.
“The thing is the normal football we kick with our leg it is a bit different from the approved ball used for futsal. So we had to make that kind of balls available free of charge to the clubs. We have divided the 16 clubs into two one is zone 1 and the other is zone two there are 8 clubs in each zone and every weekend till the end of the futsal season we have two centers,”
“We will play eight clubs zone one and zone two the team that will be first in the two zones will play a playoff what we term it is a final and the team that will win that game will be the first to win the first ever futsal league,”
