The Black Stars attacker made his debut for Austin FC in their 2-2 draw against Charlotte FC on Saturday, playing 57 minutes in the Major League Soccer match.
Bukari, who joined Austin FC this summer as a Designated Player, has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with an option for an additional year. The swift winger brings extensive experience from his time in Europe, notably at Red Star Belgrade.
”Excited to have made my debut in front of the fans last night. Not the results we wanted but we will keep fighting. Let’s go Verde!” Bukari wrote on his official (X) account.
At Red Star, Bukari was instrumental in securing consecutive Serbian league and cup titles. His performance in the Champions League was also notable, as he scored against Manchester City and delivered key assists.
Bukari’s international experience includes representing Ghana at the World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations, further demonstrating his skill on the global stage. Austin FC, currently in 10th place in the MLS standings, will be looking to Bukari to bolster their performance and advance in the league.
