Ghanaian attacker Kelvin Ofori has been named in Sofascore’s Slovakian Super Liga Team of the Week following a standout performance in Spartak Trnava’s 3-1 victory over Zemplin Michalovce in Round 13.
Ofori was instrumental in the turnaround after a shaky start for his team, scoring two crucial goals that sealed the win. The match began with a blunder from Spartak’s goalkeeper, which allowed Zemplin to take the lead in the 11th minute. However, Ofori leveled the score in the 66th minute with a clinical finish from a cross by Mikovič.
Just seven minutes later, Philip Azango gave Spartak the lead, and Ofori completed the comeback with an 88th-minute goal, curling a brilliant left-footed shot into the bottom corner to secure the victory and take his tally to six goals in nine appearances this season.
Spartak Trnava’s victory strengthened their position at the top of the head-to-head record, now leading with 16 wins against Zemplin’s six. Spartak will next face Kormano in a league game on November 9th.
