Ghanaian coach and journalist Christopher Nimley wants the Ghana Black Stars technical team to kick Andre Ayew out of the Black Stars team as soon as possible.
The outspoken journalist believes the Ghana captain has paid his dues but offers next to nothing to the team’s course and must be out of the Ghana team.
According to him, Andre Ayew is done and believes that’s the gospel truth as he thinks 17 years of playing for the national team is okay and chances must be given to upcoming players for proper transition.
“Andre Ayew is done. That is the truth,” he told Accra-based Happy FM in an interview.
“Andre has been around for many years. Next year January will be his 17th year since he made his debut for the team.
“Bold decisions must be made because we need a proper transition and to do that, the likes of Andre Ayew must not be part of the team. Not him alone but other players who are not helping the team,” he added.
Ayew recently captained Ghana in Antananarivo when Ghana faced minnows, Madagascar on June 18 in the fifth game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
