English-born Ghanaian defender Jerome Opoku has expressed joy in securing a place in next season’s Europa Conference League with Portuguese side FC Arouca.
The 24-year old former Fulham defender, has been a top performer this season for his side Arouca in the Portuguse topflight, featuring in twenty-three (23) league games. He has managed one assist in the process after also being booked six times with two red card.
Opoku, starred for Arouca on Saturday in their 1-0 win over Chaves, a win that confirmed their qualification to play in the Europa Conference League qualifiers with a game to spare in the 2022/23 season.
The versatile defender, took to his official instagram page to to celebrate his team’s qualification to play in Europe next season.
FC Arouca, are sixth on the league standings with 51 points after playing 33 matches so far this season in the Primeira Liga.
