German-born Ghanaian defender Kofi Schulz has signed a one-year contract with Iranian Pro League club Mes Rafsanjan.
The 35-year-old left-back makes the move after a successful stint at Austrian Bundesliga side WSG Tirol, where he featured in 30 league matches last season.
Schulz’s contract with Tirol ended in June, leading him to embark on a new chapter in Iran. Mes Rafsanjan, who finished tenth in the league last season, announced the signing through their official channels, stating: “The German defender from Tirol, who played in the Austrian league last season, has joined Mes Rafsanjan.
Experienced and high-ranking defender Kofi Yeboah Schulz has signed a contract for one season with the orange team under the guidance of Navidkia.”
Schulz’s extensive experience is expected to bolster Mes Rafsanjan’s defensive lineup as they aim to enhance their performance in the upcoming season.
