Ghanaian defender Patrick Kpozo has signed a one-year contract extension with Czech First League side FC Banik Ostrava, keeping him at the club until the end of 2026.
The 27-year-old full-back joined FC Banik Ostrava in 2023 on a two-year deal from Moldovan Superliga club FC Sheriff. His impressive performances during his debut season earned him a new contract.
FC Banik Ostrava’s official statement read: “We have secured the services of Ghanaian full-back Patrick Kpozo for another two and a half years. The left-back at Bazale has extended his contract until the end of 2026.”
Kpozo, who began his European career in 2015 with Inter Allies, has since played for AIK, Tromsø, Östersund, and IFK Luleå. He has made 42 appearances for the club, scoring three goals and providing four assists across all competitions.
FC Banik Ostrava’s sporting director Luděk Mikloško expressed his pleasure at the extension, stating, “Patrick continues to maintain his consistent performance, so the assumption is that he will continue to be a valuable player. He is also happy at Baník, so I’m very pleased that we’ve agreed on the continuation of our cooperation.”
Kpozo has also earned two caps for the senior Ghanaian national team.
