Ghanaian forward Kelvin Yeboah, was adjudged Man of the Match for the second successive time following his explosive performance when his side Minnesota United face FC Cincinnati in Major League Soccer.
Yeboah scored for Minnesota United, but his efforts were not enough to prevent a 2-1 defeat against FC Cincinnati in Major League Soccer on Thursday.
Yeboah, who joined Minnesota United in July, played the entire match at Allianz Field and was one of the standout performers for the home side.
FC Cincinnati took the lead with Yuya Kubo scoring in the 34th minute, assisted by Chidozie Awaziem. Luca Orellano then doubled Cincinnati’s advantage just before halftime.
In the second half, Yeboah converted a penalty in the 54th minute to pull one back for Minnesota United. Despite his goal, Minnesota was unable to mount a successful comeback and fell short at home.
The 24-year-old forward has now scored three goals and provided one assist in three appearances for Minnesota United. Yeboah, who has represented Italy at the U21 level, remains eligible to switch allegiance and play for the Black Stars.
Yeboah will aim to maintain his impressive form as the season progresses.
