Portimonense SC has secured the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Benjamin Acquah, a move expected to bolster the club’s midfield with energy, creativity, and technical skill.
The 24-year-old arrives with a strong reputation built during his time at Helsingborgs IF in Sweden, where he made 29 appearances over three seasons, scoring five goals and providing two assists. Acquah’s knack for influencing key moments made him a standout performer during his stint in Scandinavia.
Speaking during his unveiling at Estádio Municipal de Portimão, Acquah shared his excitement about joining the team. “I am here to give my best and help the team. Technically, I am good, and I enjoy scoring goals and making assists,” he said, emphasizing his readiness to contribute to the club’s success.
With a contract that runs until June 2027, Acquah’s addition adds depth and dynamism to Portimonense’s midfield. Club chairman Rodiney Sampaio expressed confidence in the new signing, highlighting Acquah’s potential to make a significant impact in Liga Portugal 2.
As Portimonense continues its campaign, Acquah is expected to play a central role, using his talent and determination to help the team achieve its ambitions.
